Start with an abstract

Thousands of active users are eager to interact and help you with your research early – even if it’s just in the form of an idea.

Submit your work-in-progress as an abstract using Smart Submit tool, get feedback, find mentorship, or recruit co-authors.

Simple Steps to use Smart Submit tool:

1. Choose EAI Conference or Journal with early submission open and submit your abstract.

2. Specify what kind of help you are looking for.

3. Your abstract will become visible to all EAI Members in EAI’s Community Portal until the Full Submission Deadline (for conferences), or for the duration of 90 days (for journals).

4. Check your inbox. A help offer may arrive at any time.

Tip: See the abstract of the author Vitor Monteiro (University of Minho) for his Experimental study, that he successfully published in our Energy Web journal.

You can participate and help other researchers too. Review new submissions in EAI’s Community Portal and be among the first to see what your peers are working on, and contribute to the world of research.

Simple steps to Review papers:

1. Find an interesting abstract in Community Portal.

2. Submit your qualifications. Don’t just say you are an expert. Show it. Put a link to your publication and review history in your bio.

3. Submit your bid as soon as possible. Most TPC Members assign all reviewers in a single go. You want to make sure that your name is in the running when they do it.

4. Your Bid will be considered by the Program Committee Member who was assigned that submission for handling. 

5. Your work as a Reviewer will be rewarded with credits, contributing to your EAI Index.

1. Register and access e-Scripts.

2. Select the right publication: There are 19 publications you can choose from, ranging from journals to book series.

3. Write keywords and abstract.

4. Enter the names of all authors, and recommend reviewers.

5. Add Cover Letter.

6. Upload manuscript and submit your paper.

7. Respond to reviewers.

8. Track your papers.

Here is how your Index works:

As an EAI Member, you get notified about your credit gains via email. Your complete history along with exact individual calculations is available in your user profile.

? Authors get points on a scale of 0-10 for each valid paper, as determined by its average review score.

✖ 2 Gain Double for accepted papers, your points get quadrupled for papers with the highest average review score in the conference or a journal volume.

✎ Get 1 or 2 credits for every completed and valid review. As evaluated by the Program Committee Member or Journal Editor in charge of the article, verified by the Program Committee Chair and Editor-in-Chief respectively.

? Editors get points for involvement in conferences. Committee members are awarded as a measure of the quality and impact of all their assigned papers, as determined by their value.

? Journal Editors, Editors-in-Chief, Handling Editors, and Special Issue Editors are awarded as a measure of the quality and outreach of their journal.
