How to use EAI Compass at conferences

20
Nov

EAI Compass helps you to engage with EAI conferences across the globe, browse their program, and detailed session overviews.

Also, with Compass, you can easily connect with fellow attendees, praise presenters on-site, and access conference proceedings with any of your devices – mobile, or desktop. Non-registrants will be able to access these proceedings via EUDL only.

Find your conference

Once you open the EAI Compass, you can find conferences to attend.

  1. Click on the left sidebar and see all upcoming, followed or past conferences. Search enables you to find the specific conference by typing its name.
  2. Open the conference overview to find all the details

If you wish, you can also follow the conference to keep a list of events you don’t want to miss.

Browse the program, praise the presentations you liked, get upvotes for yours

When you find your event, you can see the program along with other details in the event overview.

To upvote the presentations you enjoyed, simply click on the program and corresponding session. If you are an author, you can gain upvotes for your presentation from other attendees. This counts towards your EAI Index and builds your research reputation.

Tip for the authors: When you present, invite the audience to vote for your presentation in the corresponding session of the conference program with the Upvote button. You can also add the visual guide below to your presentation.

If you register for a conference, you can also download full papers in the conference program.

Connect with fellow attendees

To see all the attendees of the conference with their roles, and connect with them, go to the People section in the conference overview.

Here, you can find accepted authors, chairs, conference managers, and other attendees in one place. See their bio, and send them a message by clicking on the “Connect” button.

Once you contact them, your conversation will be visible in your Inbox.

If you have any feedback about your experience, please submit them here and let us know about the things we should improve. Enjoy your next conference!
